Requirements:

Successful applicants for the Early Years Educator position will need:

Our Before and After School Club provides provision for 3 to 11 year olds, offering a safe, stimulating environment for children, with creative and appropriate play opportunities.

The post holder will ideally hold a minimum Level 3 Early Years and Childcare and / or Play qualification or willing to work towards. Current working experience of leading and managing a team of staff is essential. Experience of working in a in a similar setting – Out of Hours or Lunch Time Provision is required. The post holder will be trained as an appointed First Aider. They will support the Club Manager to lead a team of out of hours support staff in planning and delivering an excellent service, ensuring high standards is maintained.

Training and development:

Health and safety:
To ensure that the physical environment of the nursery is maintained to comply with the requirements of the Health and

Be aware of and comply with EHO and COSHH regulations

Ensure that all security systems are fully operational and access is denied to unauthorised personnel

To have clear knowledge of procedures to be followed in case of emergency e.g. fire, emergency evacuation, accident and injuries, and how to complete and submit relevant paperwork

To administer medication following medication policy and local authority guidelines

Operate and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the nursery at all times

To carry out appropriate indoor and outdoor equipment checks, checking the garden and other environments before each use

To ensure the nursery is kept clean and hygienic at all times and carry out minor cleaning duties throughout the day following the Company’s expectations
